MN: Giroud has a clear goal of how he wants to end Milan spell

By Euan Burns -

Olivier Giroud’s presumed final months at AC Milan will be spent trying to win a trophy that he has already won once before in his career.

As highlighted by Milan News, the French striker will be desperate to win the Europa League with Milan as his final contribution to the fans.

Giroud is not officially leaving the club at the end of this season, but it is believed that he has agreed on terms with Los Angeles FC for a free transfer as he is out of contract with the Rossoneri in June 2024.

Milan know that they cannot win the Serie A title unless there is a truly catastrophic collapse from Inter, so the real focus now is on securing second place and winning the Europa League.

All players dream of winning a European trophy with a club that has Milan’s heritage on the continent, and Giroud is able to draw on his experience of winning it for Chelsea in the past.

The Rossoneri are up against AS Roma in the quarter-finals and if they can get through that tie, they will face either Bayer Leverkusen or West Ham United. Sitting top of the Premier League and the Bundesliga respectively, Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are the favourites to win the tournament.
