MN: Giroud returns to training and should be back for Spezia – latest on Ibra, Kjaer and Calabria

By Oliver Fisher -

Some good news has arrived from Milanello regarding the condition of striker Olivier Giroud, who has missed the last three games through injury.

The team trained this morning after the 2-0 home victory against Venezia last night and according to what MilanNews – and as shown by the photos below – Giroud worked with the rest of the squad. He is hoping to recover from his lower back pain in order to feature against Spezia on Saturday.

Journalist Pietro Mazzara adds that there is a ‘good chance’ Giroud will be available for the game at the weekend which is no doubt music to the ears of both head coach Stefano Pioli and to Ante Rebic, who has worked tirelessly as an auxiliary striker.

Regarding Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the trio are working to be ready for next Tuesday’s game against Atletico Madrid at San Siro in the Champions League.
