MN: Good and bad news for Pioli ahead of Inter clash as defender returns but winger is out

By Oliver Fisher -

There is good news and bad news for AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli to digest ahead of Saturday’s derby against Inter.

All eyes are firmly fixed on Italian football’s showpiece event which will take place at San Siro, with Milan hoping for a league win against their city rivals, something which has been hard to come by in recent seasons.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Andrea Conti returned to training for the first time in a few months on Tuesday afternoon. As for Ante Rebic, he is struggling with his recovery from the dislocation of the elbow suffered in the Serie A match against Crotone.

There is no optimism at the moment, and the Croatian is highly unlikely to play on Saturday. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessio Romagnoli are back, while Leo Duarte, Mateo Musacchio and Matteo Gabbia (Coronavirus) are out as it stands for the Rossoneri.
