MN: Good news arrives regarding Ibrahimovic ahead of game against Shamrock Rovers

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is likely to be able to call upon Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Thursday’s trip to face Shamrock Rovers, a report claims.

The Swede missed the last two friendly matches against Vicenza and Brescia due to a bruised leg, and Calciomercato.com reported earlier today how Pioli does not want to take the slightest risk especially with the Serie A opener being on Monday 21st against Bologna.

They added that 18-year-old centre-forward Lorenzo Colombo could step into Ibrahimovic’s place, one of two top scorers in the preseason with three goals in three games.

According to the latest from MilanNews however, good news has arrived regarding Ibrahimovic’s condition. The 38-year-old, in fact, begun Monday morning’s training session with the rest of the group rather than training alone, a big sign that he is expected to play on Thursday against Shamrock Rovers.
