AC Milan’s return to the Champions League this season and the fight for the Scudetto has seen their ticket revenues rise as a result, a report has revealed.

MilanNews writes that in the 24 home games played this season, Milan have amassed a total of 1,034,785 spectators for a total collection of €43,801,881.01, which exceeds the amount of the 2018-19 season (the last complete season pre-pandemic) when the club got €37.6m.

The two games against Juventus and Spezia at San Siro opened for only 5,000 spectators with receipts not disclosed because they are very low, with the game against Allegri’s side depriving Milan of around €5m in takings due to government restrictions.

However, the games against Fiorentina and Atalanta had a full house, but brought in €1.2m in cash per game, when it could have been more but for the desire to have the fans at the stadium at an affordable price. The figures are as follows…

Serie A:
Total spectators : 836.293
Total proceeds: 25.943.938,00

Champions League:
Total spectators: 131,286
Total proceeds: 10,180,911.8

Coppa Italia:
Spectators: 67,206
Total proceeds: 3,519,799.00
