AC Milan have shown this season that they can win without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but in the second half of the campaign the struggles have become evident.
As MilanNews writes, there has often been talk of Milan’s dependence on Ibrahimovic and on several occasions the Rossoneri have shown that they know how to cope, but in this decisive moment of the season it is evident how much the team needs their leader.
The 39-year-old is currently struggling with a muscle problem that did not allow him to take the field on Wednesday against Sassuolo, a game in which the team lacked the resolve and character to see out a 1-0 lead with less than 15 minutes to go, eventually losing 201.
Virtually all of his team-mates have declared several times that Ibra is fundamental for Milan and not only from a technical point of view but with his personality too, as he is one who always keeps attention high and who raises the bar. His presence against Lazio is unfortunately still in strong doubt but the hope at Milanello is that he will recover as soon as possible.
