MN: Ibrahimovic’s renewal likely to be sorted before Monday as optimism filters

By Oliver Fisher -

Some good news has filtered regarding the renewal of AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to a report.

After days of being told that his signature was imminent, there have been suggestions from multiple sources claiming that there are disagreements on salary between Milan and the Swede which have caused delays.

According to MilanNews, there are strong possibilities that the situation could be unblocked by Monday, when the Rossoneri playing squad and staff will reconvene at Milanello to begin preseason preparations, and possibly sooner.

The negotiation is still ongoing but now there is more optimism, as the negotiations have reached the final stages. These are the ‘decisive hours’ for Zlatan’s extension with the Rossoneri for another season, the report from MilanNews adds.

Ibrahimovic managed to net 10 Serie A goals after his arrival in the winter, helping inspire the team to a run post-lockdown in which they didn’t lose in 12 games, winning nine of them.
