MN: Juventus victory could bring Donnarumma’s renewal closer – the goalkeeper wants to stay

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluigi Donnarumma could be set to renew with AC Milan as he intended to all along, a report claims, especially after last night’s big win over Juventus.

As MilanNews writes, Donnarumma has now recorded back to back clean sheet to silence some of the doubters and those who thought the renewal situation may cloud his performances. Against Juve some may point to the fact he charged out of his goal in the first half – which many have defined as reckless – but it had a logical sense since it took place with the right timing and led to a play that triggered a counter articulated by Theo Hernandez.

The one error he really made was to flap at a corner where Giorgio Chiellini could have scored, but he provided a decisive on the shot from Bentancur at the beginning of the second half. Now, he is looking at a double target: a Champions League place and a renewal. Donnarumma wants that and Raiola knows it too, and yesterday’s victory (he was the first to post on social media, a good sign) could be vital.

  1. Well that was obvious. Maldini should now lower the pay proposed from 8M to something like 7 or 6.5M. If he doesn’t accept let him go and play europa with Rube.

    1. Yes, or at least increase the length to 4-5 years instead of the 2 on currently the table, because one year we’ll be at it again…
