MN: Kalulu is a role model for every Milan youngster amid well-deserved renewal

By Isak Möller -

With just one game remaining ahead of the World Cup break, AC Milan’s position in the standings could have been a bit better. Fortunately, there are some things to be happy about, such as Pierre Kalulu’s renewal.

The centre-back renewed his contract with the Rossoneri until 2027 yesterday and this is very positive for the club. He was signed for around €500k back in 2020 and he has since become a starter for Milan, skyrocketing his transfer value.

As highlighted by MilanNews, Kalulu is a symbol of what this ‘new Milan’ is all about. He arrived for a minimal amount and he didn’t even have one single appearance among the professionals, only playing for Lyon’s youth team until the move.

The path Kalulu has taken at Milan is one that all of the other youngsters should follow, such as  Vranckx, Thiaw and Adli. He worked in silence and never complained, making the most of the chance when he got it (due to an injury crisis).

His growth will surely continue and Milan can only watch on with happiness, especially since they have now renewed the contract.
