Pierre Kalulu has received tons of praise since he scored the winner against Empoli last weekend, which really highlighted his impressive season thus far. The youngster, however, won’t get carried away.
As MilanNews highlighted, in the last few days, some have even suggested that Kalulu could be the right future partner for Fikayo Tomori. A suggestion which, even though it isn’t unlikely, is still too early to make.
Kalulu certainly made the most of Alessio Romagnoli’s injury and he’s not far away from snatching the captain’s starting spot. Having said that, the youngster knows he still has a lot to improve and he needs to continue on this path.
When asked if he wants to compare Kalulu with anyone, Stefano Pioli opted for a diplomatic answer which, frankly, reflects the mentality of the player better: “He still played too few games to make a comparison.”
But as said, the path Kalulu is on is certainly the right one and with the help of Pioli, as well as his teammates, he can go onto something big.
