MN: Latest on Loftus-Cheek and Estupinan from Milanello as Atalanta clash beckons

Due to the clash against Atalanta on Tuesday, AC Milan have no time to waste and thus returned to Milanello this morning, leaving the 2-2 draw against Pisa behind immediately. 

It was indeed a disappointing result for the Rossoneri underneath the San Siro lights. They had the chance to cement their spot at the top of the table, but instead, they could be leapfrogged tonight. In any case, as said, there is no time to dwell on the matter.

Atalanta are up on Tuesday evening and it’s just one of several tough games in the next few weeks, with the likes of Roma and Inter also present in the calendar. As reported by MilanNews, those who started yesterday worked on recovery in the gym, while the others were on the pitch.

As for the injured players, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Pervis Estupinan continued individual work on the pitch and thus didn’t train with the group. They remain in heavy doubt for the Atalanta clash, as such, so it’s possible that Allegri could have a very thin squad on Tuesday too.

For now, the only change to the starting XI should be Fikayo Tomori in for Koni De Winter, who caused the penalty last night and didn’t do particularly well overall.

  1. The International break can be summed up as being a disaster for Milan. All of the momentum the team built was derailed by injuries to key players.

  2. Clubs should be able to tell players with a laudry list of injuries or with knocks that they are staying in town. Pulisic, Estupinian and RLC have been on regular subscribers to the infirmary during their careers. The
