MN: Maldini and Massara at training to send a clear message of trust towards the group

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were at Milanello today to show their support for the team, a report claims.

As MilanNews writes, it has been a year full of excellent development for Milan and the fact that they sit second – within striking distance of top spot – at the end of February is a testament to the work of head coach Stefano Pioli and the squad.

The current moment of struggle was fairly predictable, given that the Rossoneri have been playing pretty much without interruption since last May, and also it is virtually impossible to keep up a pace of 2.5 points per game as happened after the first eight rounds.

The Christmas holidays have certainly brought freshness in the legs of the players, but in the last month the workloads have increased again and it has begun to take a toll.

The game in Rome on Sunday becomes a crucial match that will mark the fate of the Rossoneri: with a win second spot looks much more safe, but with a defeat everything becomes precarious.

Maldini and Massara were at Milanello today and, in all probability, they will also be there in the coming days. The report adds that the management wanted to send a clear message of trust towards the coach and the squad. Milan’s season is in full swing and maximum effort will be needed to continue on the current growth path.
