MN: Maldini and Massara to renew and continue work on securing 4-5 quality signings

By Oliver Fisher -

The Milan management are already hard at work to strengthen the squad ahead of next season, with multiple reinforcements expected.

MilanNews journalist Antonio Vitiello writes in his latest column that negotiations for reinforcements are ‘well underway’ and that Milan ‘will be a stronger and more competitive team after 1 September’.

The contract extensions of the two expiring directors is being defined as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are discussing the last details of their renewals, meaning they will stay at the fore of a project that has brought big rewards since the journey began two and a half years ago.

They will improve the team with at least 4-5 quality purchases as per the journalist, and in addition to the amount and duration of the contracts, Maldini has made it clear that he would like greater involvement in important decisions at the headquarters.

The dialogue between the parties is positive and constructive, and even with Gerry Cardinale – the founder and main man of new owners RedBird Capital – there was an immediate understanding.
