MN: Maldini’s charm offensive does the job as Marseille star lowers demands – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

Marseille winger Florian Thauvin has lowered his demands having been left flattered by the world of Paolo Maldini, according to a report.

MilanNews reported earlier in the month that Milan have monitored Thauvin for weeks ever since the Frenchman was offered to directors Maldini and Ricky Massara during the final days of the summer window by his agents.

On Friday, Maldini admitted during an interview with Telefoot that he is a profile the club are following, stating: “His contract is ending so from the economic point of view he’s very interesting For sure he’s a player we must follow.”

Now, MilanNews have confirmed that Milan do indeed have concrete interest in signing Thauvin. Not only that, but they add how Maldini’s words made the player proud and from what filters from the Frenchman’s side, he would be willing to accept €3.5m per season which is less than the €5m initially requested.
