MN: Milan accelerate pursuit of French midfielder – optimism filters despite Chelsea’s demands

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are accelerating their attempts to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko but some details must still be resolved, a report claims.

It appears as though Bakayoko is slowly moving towards securing a return to Milan this summer a year after he left following the conclusion of his loan spell at San Siro in 2018-19.

According to a report from MilanNews, Milan are pushing hard for Bakayoko. There is already an agreement in place with the player on salary (€3million net plus bonuses), but some details relating to the option to buy that will be included in the agreement between the clubs still need to be resolved.

The report adds that the Rossoneri would like to have the option to buy set at €20-22m, while Chelsea continue to ask for €30m in addition to a fee for the loan. There is optimism regarding the conclusion of the negotiations, however, the report concludes.
