AC Milan are very close to being able to announce the return of midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea, according to a report.
The Milan management are understood to have been desperate to give Stefano Pioli another “starter” in the middle of the field and an option to allow Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie to have some rest.
Bakayoko is the player who has been most concretely linked over the past few weeks, with the consensus amongst almost all sources being that the Frenchman wants to return and Chelsea are willing to sell.
According to MilanNews, Monday was another day of discussions between Chelsea and Milan to close the Bakayoko deal and it appears to have been productive again.
The parties are very close to reaching a full agreement on the basis of a paid loan with option to buy set at €30million. The player will receive a salary of around €3million net.
