MN: Milan at work to sign Chelsea midfielder for €20m as one major obstacle is removed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are continuing to work on the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea and are trying to lower the economic demands of the deal.

Bakayoko continues to be the midfielder strongest linked with a move to Milan as the Rossoneri are in need of reinforcements in that particular department following Lucas Biglia’s departure.

According to MilanNews, Milan have been working on a return for Bakayoko for some time, because he is a player who is appreciated by owners Elliott Management due to his physical and athletic characteristics.

The negotiation with Chelsea is difficult, as Milan want to reduce their demands regarding transfer fee to around €20million. Bakayoko has repeatedly declared that he wants to return and has long since given the green light, and it should be noted he currently receives €6m gross and not net, therefore a salary that could fall within the parameters.

The only obstacle therefore is the negotiations between Milan and Chelsea, who know they will have to sell redundant players to fund their own spending spree.
