MN: Milan preparing for Camarda’s first contract with 2+5 deal rumoured

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are preparing to give young striker Francesco Camarda his first professional contract with the club and there is a plan in place to secure his long-term future.

According to Antonio Vitiello for Milan News, the Rossoneri are well aware that Camarda turns 16 in less than a month and he will then be eligible for a professional contract.

He has continued to score goals for the Primavera team, netting twice in the 3-3 draw against Sassuolo last weekend.

he became the youngest-ever Serie A player earlier this season when Pioli introduced him from the bench against Fiorentina. It was a historic moment but he was quickly placed back into the Primavera squad to continue his development.

In less than a month, he is expected to sign a two-year contract with Milan that will take him up to his 18th birthday. The plan then is for him to sign a five-year contract. Players aged between 16 and 18 cannot sign deals of that length, but he will be able to once he turns 18.

The Rossoneri are aware that they have a serious talent on their hands and they want to protect themselves from foreign clubs that may swoop if Camarda is not quickly put on a contract.
