AC Milan could make a statement by securing the renewal of star midfielder Franck Kessie as their next summer move, a report claims.
According to MilanNews, Milan have set a firm stance towards agents that try to ‘blackmail’ the club by asking for figures too high in order to renew their contracts. As soon as a club tries to tackle the problem of bringing down the wage budget, it appears that fans have begun to grow apprehensive about the idea of losing key pieces for free.
However, part of the money saved from the exits of Donnarumma and Calhanoglu will be paid to Kessie as a reward for an incredible season. The leader of the midfield undoubtedly deserves a salary raise as he currently receives €2.2m net per season.
The Rossoneri offered almost €4m during the most recent meeting with his agent while Kessie’s entourage asked for €6m. There is a gap to be bridged but Milan absolutely intend to secure the Ivorian’s long terms future.
“We will not be surprised if the next move of the club was to renew the midfielder, as a symbol and mediated response to the (perhaps excessive) criticism of the last few hours,” the report concludes.

Milan must do all their possible best to renew the President’s contract. I also think that he deserves to among the highest paid in the club because, he has already proved himself to be a great leader and it would be a massive blow and also the greatest lose if he leaves.
And the worse thing which I hate most is that, HE COULD POSSIBLY LEAVE FOR NOTHING 😭😭

Give $5-6M to kessie. Player needs to know that they will be rewarded if their performance is consistently at a high level. Calh only performs once in a month, he isnt worth $4M.
