One man’s misfortune (or rather the misfortune of several men) can result in an opportunity for another, and Jens Petter Hauge has been waiting for his moment.
As MilanNews reports, a problem that Milan have suffered in recent years is the absence of valid alternatives, i.e. a lack of depth.
However, Stefano Pioli has a number of players available in the attack to deal with the absences of Ibrahimovic, Leao and Saelemaekers – and one of those is Hauge.
The Norwegian is among the players purchased last summer by the Rossoneri to made a big impact in the time he has had. Bought for €4m from Bodo/Glimt, Hauge has scored twice in 61 minutes of action across Serie A and the Europa League – one goal every thirty minutes.
After not having had a start yet for Milan, Hauge is now seemingly set for the his first start and it could come against Lille on Thursday. The 21-year-old has shown great qualities so far, and if he can burn past Kostas Manolas for his first league goal then fans are right to be excited.
Give hauge a full match time and you will never doubt him anymore
