MN: Milan set sights on Fulham defender as centre-back search intensifies

By Euan Burns -

Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is the latest name to be linked with AC Milan as the search for a new centre-back drags into the latter part of the January transfer window, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, Adarabioyo has only got one year left on his contract with the Premier League side and is therefore susceptible to a January transfer.

Fulham would not want to let a regular starter leave the club during the January transfer window but given the contract situation, they would have little power over the defender.

Like Fikayo Tomori, Adrabioyo is an English defender of Nigerian heritage. He came through at Manchester City’s academy but was eventually sold.

There is a chance to loan the defender for the rest of the season before then signing him on a free transfer if he impresses.

Given he has been playing almost every game for Fulham, he would be a good option to come in and hit the ground running.

There are many other names that Milan could move for, though, such as Clement Lenglet, Lilian Brassier, and Jakub Kiwior. It remains to be seen which player Milan eventually end up moving for in the closing stages of the window.
