MN: Milan make decision to keep midfielder despite numerous approaches – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made the decision to keep midfielder Rade Krunic until the end of the season, according to multiple reports.

There has been a lot of speculation suggesting that Milan are looking for a physical midfielder to complete the current group of players who can play in the double pivot naturally, namely Sandro Tonali, Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer.

In addition, numerous reports from different sources have claimed that Krunic is set to leave to help finance a new midfielder’s arrival as he is no longer a good fit at Milan.

According to Di MarzioMilanNews and TMW though, the former Empoli man is not expected to leave Milan during the winter window and will remain in the squad at least until the end of the season.

The latter adds how the Rossoneri always responded in the same way to the various requests for information received in recent weeks: the midfielder will stay at Milanello.

Krunic – who was bought for around €8m in the summer of 2019 – has so far taken part in 11 league matches and six in the Europa League, playing a variety of roles.
