MN: Milan playing a waiting game as Chelsea ask for €22m for excluded midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are accelerating their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, a report claims, with dialogues ongoing.

According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri have not yet started their spending campaign due to the fact they are waiting to secure the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede’s future is too important and the management wants to close the new deal first before moving on to other signings.

Contacts with agents and intermediaries are ongoing, and at the moment the track leading to Tiémoué Bakayoko is a lively. The negotiation will not be easy, but the player has agreed to reduce his salary.

The Blues are currently asking for €22-23million, which is why the Rossoneri have decided to wait for the price to drop, and as the days go by they monitor the situation closely.

He is not part of their plans but Chelsea certainly do not want to give him away for under the market value, so Milan will wait.
