MN: Milan’s probable XI for Fiorentina fixture – decisions to make for Fonseca

AC Milan travel to Florence this weekend to face Fiorentina on Sunday night, and a largely similar lineup is to be expected, but a report has suggested that Paulo Fonseca still has some decisions to make.

Although his side were unsuccessful against Bayer Leverkusen, Fonseca believes that the game was a positive performance, and he will be asking his side to win a fourth consecutive Serie A game against La Viola this weekend.

The hosts sit 11th in Serie A currently and have recorded four draws already this season. Fonseca will be under no illusion about the danger that Raffaele Palladino has at his disposal though, and with an international break awaiting, he can maybe afford to use a few more starters than he would have if there was no break.

In defence, there are changes possible, given the depth in the area, according to Milan News. Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez and Matteo Gabbia should all start, but there are decisions to make about Emerson Royal and Fikayo Tomori – Strahinja Pavlovic and Davide Calabria could return.

In midfield, there are no changes set to be made, and the double pivot should remain the same. Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic will be present on the wings once again, and Tammy Abraham will be joined by Alvaro Morata, who is set to return to the starting XI.
