MN: Milan’s probable XI for Inter clash – five changes from Spezia

By Oliver Fisher -

As the hours tick by towards the second leg against Inter, it seems Stefano Pioli is more and more sure of the team that he will put out to start the game.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Mike Maignan will get the nod between the posts with Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez as the right and left-back respectively. Malick Thiaw takes the place of Simon Kjaer alongside Fikayo Tomori in central defense.

Rade Krunic has recovered from a knee issue and thus gets the nod in midfield alongside Sandro Tonali, with Brahim Diaz playing ahead of them as the playmaker given Ismael Bennacer is injured.

Junior Messias should also make it back in time and he is battling with Alexis Saelemaekers for a spot on the right wing, with the Belgian having the advantage. Rafael Leao completes the attacking trident as he is back, with Olivier Giroud the striker.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Krunic; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Bench: Mirante, Kalulu, Florenzi, Kjaer, Gabbia, Ballo-Touré, Pobega, Messias, De Ketelaere, Origi, Rebic.

Battles: Saelemaekers-Messias.
Injured: Bennacer.
Disqualified: None.

    1. Are you crazy? Messiah missed a 1vs1 chance to score in the last game, the score could have been 2-1 now. Alexis is bad but Messiah is worse

  1. Please let Messias start. He can score goals compared to Alexis. Though Alexis is a good player too .If leao or Giroud doesn’t score, then it might be Messias.

    1. He is selfish, in no way better than Alexis…. To me I will suggest Alexis as the attacking midfielder diaz on the bench.

    2. I will just remind you that Messias had a perfect chance to score last game and botched it. We would be in a very different place in this semifinal if he could score reliably.

  2. Kayode I totally support you

I think Alexis should play as an attacking midfielders

Alexis is dangerous but I don’t think he has the strength to play in the wing

Messias Is more dangerous in the wing he also has more capable strength

Bench that clown they call Diaz,I don’t know if he eats or go to the Gym at all

    His strength:0
    Creativity:0
    Defense:0
    Vision:0

And later if he get touched,he starts looking for fowl and at that moment the opposition would use him to start some counter attack
