MN: Probable Milan XI to face Liverpool – five changes expected from Salernitana

By Oliver Fisher -

Stefano Pioli appears to have made a decision on the starting line-up that will take to the field tonight against Liverpool, according to a report.

Milan are hoping for another famous European night tonight when they welcome Liverpool to San Siro in a must-win encounter, knowing they need to beat Jurgen Klopp’s men and hope for a draw in Portugal or for Atletico Madrid to beat Porto but by the same or a lesser margin than the Rossoneri beat Liverpool.

According to MilanNews, the Milan boss is likely to lead with Mike Maignan in goal, Pierre Kalulu at right-back, Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli as the centre-backs and then Theo Hernandez at left-back despite the fact the latter missed training yesterday with a heavy cold.

Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie should be the midfield double pivot with a trident ahead of them consisting of Junior Messias on the right, Brahim Diaz as the playmaker and Rade Krunic on the left behind striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who looks set to finally get his first start in the competition this season.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Kalulu, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers/Messias, Diaz, Krunic; Ibrahimovic.
