Ahead of AC Milan’s fixture against Salernitana on Friday night, the likely XI that Stefano Pioli may select to start has been revealed.
Milan’s final game before Christmas sees them travel to Salerno to face Serie A’s trailing side, Salernitana, led by a familiar face, Filippo Inzaghi. The Granata are experiencing a torrid season, which has only seen them win once.
MilanNews writes that there will be very few changes to the Rossoneri’s lineup. Firstly, following his suspension, Davide Calabria will return to the starting XI. As a result, Pioli is due to revert to a back four.
The midfield three seems set. Tijjani Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek retain their places, whilst Ismael Bennacer is due to make his first start in over 200 days. However, the roles of the midfield are unclear currently. Perhaps the Algerian will act as an anchor in a midfield three. Alternatively, Loftus-Cheek could move back to behind the striker.
Pioli is not due to make any changes to his front three from the game against Monza, even if there are calls for Luka Jovic to displace Olivier Giroud.
Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Loftus-Cheek, Bennacer, Reijnders; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao
Bench: Mirante, Nava, Bartesaghi, Florenzi, Jimenez, Simic, Krunic, Adli, Chaka Traore, Romero, Chukwueze, Jovic.
One yellow card from suspension: Musah.
Injured: Sportiello, Kalulu, Thiaw, Pellegrino, Caldara, Musah, Pobega, Okafor

I hope we manage several goals in the first half, I could see wholesale changes at the break. Maybe the likes of Simic, Zeroli, Jovic.
Florenzi should be starting. He’s earned the spot.
Agreed. He’s been doing fine for several matches now.
If you see Calabria,Florenzi and Giroud playing togather ,waut your game and expect bad result
