AC Milan are ready to try and sell midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the upcoming window after a difficult and disappointing season, a report claims.
As MilanNews notes, among the most obvious problems this season for Paqueta has been the fact he has not had a sustained run of games in any position. Under Marco Giampaolo he was used as a box-to-box player, while under Pioli he has been used both out wide and occasionally in his preferred position as a No.10.
This is in large part due to the explosion of form that Hakan Calhanoglu has, as he became untouchable for Pioli. What it does mean though is that after only a year and a half with the Rossoneri, and after an investment of €38.4million, Paqueta’s Milanese adventure could be nearing its conclusion.
The club are willing to sell for an offer of €25million, and during the winter window PSG were the team most interested in the Brazilian, so we will see if the Parisians will return to the attack even in the summer or if another club makes a serious play.
