MN: Milan snatch talented winger for €600k – he could ‘soon become a first team player’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will complete the signing of 16-year-old winger Chaka Traore tomorrow, a report claims, and he could be an excellent acquisition for the future.

According to MilanNews, Milan have closed negotiations for the player, who will be in Milan tomorrow to sign his contract ahead of a €600k plus bonuses move from Parma, who will also receive a percentage of any proceeds from a future resale. The Ivorian winger has already made his Serie A debut with Parma, totalling 16 minutes against Milan, Sampdoria and Lazio, becoming the first 2004-born player to play in Serie A.

Last season Traore was included as an under-age player in the Primavera 2 league, scoring 11 goals and 5 assists, and that is how they knew he was ready for the leap to play with the big boys.

Chaka is an attacking left winger who very fast and likes to cut back in onto his stronger right foot. Considering his very young age, he can be considered a player with a lot of personality and he is certainly not afraid to take risks during the game.

Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews adds on Twitter that Traore will start in Federico Giunti’s Primavera side, but he has ‘everything to soon become a first team player’.
