MN: Milan to intensify talks with Chelsea over €28m Tomori deal – discount or deferred payment sought

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to intensify talks with Chelsea over the permanent signing of Fikayo Tomori, according to a report.

MilanNews writes how the week ahead promises to be very active on the market front for the Rossoneri and first of all contacts with Chelsea will be intensified for the permanent purchase of Tomori. Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will try to lower the €28m agreed in January or, alternatively, to try and establish a deferred payment.

However, the fact remains that Milan want him to stay regardless  because along with Simon Kjaer he has created a centre-back pairing of quality and one that helped produce five clean sheets in a row to end the season.

The 23-year-old Englishman certainly offers something different to the rest of the centre-backs Milan have because of his strengths in terms of pace and aggression, with the general consensus being that the Rossoneri would be right to continue with him.
