MN: Milan to meet Chelsea midfielder’s agents soon – early loan termination expected

By Oliver Fisher -

Tiemoue Bakayoko’s return to AC Milan has not gone to plan and as a result his two-year loan spell is set to be cut short, a report claims.

In total, the Frenchman made 18 appearances for the Rossoneri this past season, but they only resulted in 607 minutes of playing time. He was barely used in the second half of the season and his potential exit has been clear for quite some time.

MilanNews reports that the Frenchman will not be given a second season to try and redeem himself and instead will return to Chelsea this summer. A meeting between the Rossoneri management and his agents is expected in the coming days or weeks during which the situation will be resolved.

Given that Franck Kessie is also leaving the Rossoneri on a free transfer, it leaves the management with a dilemma regarding midfield depth, although Yacine Adli and Tommaso Pobega will return from their respective loans.
