MN: Milan want to raise the quality of the attack – CSKA Moscow and Chelsea duo targeted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are targeting two reinforcements of quality to play behind the centre-forward in Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 system, a report claims.

MilanNews report that Nikola Vlasic is the name currently on pole to replace Hakan Calhanoglu, but it will not be easy to find an agreement with CSKA Moscow. The profile and the salary of the Croatian would be compatible with the Rossoneri management’s plans, and he might not be the only big name to arrive.

That is because Milan still consider Hakim Ziyech’s loan from Chelsea to be a possibility. The Moroccan (who has a Dutch passport) is always at the top of wish list, but of course negotiating with the Blues is never straightforward especially given the €40m they spent to sign him.

The arrival of Vlasic and Ziyech – if it were to become a realistic possibility – would represent a big jump in quality for the attacking department. ‘Watch this space’ seems to be the operative phrase.

  1. Not going to lie the window till now has been excellent in terms of reinforcement and buying players if Jorge and ziyech or a dynamic rw arrive that would complete buying phase then we can focus on selling players, a big name is needed for attack to make milan dangerous up front as they are defensively sorted and need some firepower to challenge for title in a now very tactical league where the big 7 will fight for scudetto and European spots.
