Incoming owners RedBird Capital do not intend to renew the contract of CEO Ivan Gazidis who is now expected to leave the club later this year.
MilanNews writes how Gazidis’ contract as Milan CEO will expire in November and the decision of RedBird is that they will let him leave once his contract runs out, as they wish to implement their own man in that role (Gazidis was brought in by Elliott Management).
Several hypotheses are circulating regarding the name of his replacement, but regarding the future of Gazidis the South African executive has been contacted by Major League Soccer about a return to America.
If Gazidis were to accept the offer from MLS it would be a return to origins for him since in 1994 he joined the team of founders and managers of the MLS itself and from 2001 to 2008 he held the role of deputy commissioner.
Thank you Ivan for steadying the sinking ship , not letting M&M leave and bringing new revenues to the club. Although I wouldn’t mind you renewing, I hope Redbird brings in someone who can give Maldini more power and flexibility with signing his targets.

He did great job, and we must not forget his employer was Elliot and wasn’t all as he wanted. He has big role in building this team and has my respect. Hope the replacement will improve his work 🙂

bring back Adriano Galliani he will at least will help american owner take some time before they ruin our club
Adriano Galliani is the only one that understand football and know everything about our club give him open budget and he bring world class players and will rise milan brand
As much as I have big respect to Galliani, but he is in our past and I hope he stays there in our history. Having him back in Milan will intervene M & M technical strategy as both sides have very different approaches.
