MN: Milan working on Simakan after as Chelsea and Schalke duo are discarded as options

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s only hope of signing a centre-back with less than four hours of the window remaining is Mohamed Simakan, but the hope is not lost.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, the management are continuing to work tirelessly in order to give Stefano Pioli a new central defender.

After the negotiations for Ozan Kabak and Antonio Rudiger of Schalke 04 and Chelsea respectively have now come to an end due to the costs involved, the name on which Milan are working hard on at the moment is Mohamed Simakan.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are in constant contact with Strasbourg to reduce the distance between the offer and their demands, but it is a race against time to bring the 20-year-old French defender to Italy given the window shuts at 20:00 CEST.
