MN: Milan’s defensive depth becomes a strength – three players of quality to call on

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will head to Turin to face Juventus knowing that their defence is very much their strength at the moment, a report claims.

MilanNews writes how the Rossoneri rearguard suffered at Anfield against Liverpool, conceding three times against a ‘hurricane’ of a team, but the defensive department is still considered a big strength of the current side.

Fikayo Tomori for example has proven to be worth every single euro of the €28m spent to sign him outright, while Simon Kjaer managed to make even the most skeptical fans reconsider and he is now a leader of the current side.

Director Frederic Massara deserves praise for identifying them, and Milan can count on a defensive tandem of quality. Meanwhile Alessio Romagnoli is there to offer the depth needed for a top team and he could play from the beginning tonight at the Allianz  Stadium. The captain had a good game against Lazio and could have a new chance against Juve.
