MN: Moncada and D’Ottavio big admirers of Veliz and are evaluating €12m deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Yet another reliable source has confirmed that AC Milan are interested in signing striker Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central and may be able to negotiate a discount.

Milan continue to be linked with the idea of signing a young striker to help Olivier Giroud and also take some of the pressure off new recruit Noah Okafor who is not really a similar profile to the Frenchman, and Veliz is the hot name at the moment.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, the 19-year-old has been followed for some time by chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and new sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio, who like what they have seen.

Evaluations are currently ongoing regarding whether to enter the race for the Argentine, who has a €14m clause that they believe can be negotiated down to around €12m.

Veliz has 11 goals in 22 league games for Rosario Central this season so far, and he was very impressive at the U20 World Cup last month scoring three goals in four games for his country.

  1. One for the future. Seriously consider signing him with Giroud being on his last season. Will allow the boy to acclimatize to his new environment and learn from Giroud in the process. Forza Milan.❤️🖤

  2. Sign him cheap. Dont make mistake anymore like missed kolo muani or julian alvarez in the past. This kid still cheap 14m euro
