MN: Okafor back in Milan’s squad for Roma clash – latest injury updates

By Isak Möller -

Noah Okafor has been given the go-ahead by AC Milan’s medical team and will thus be available for the game against Roma tomorrow. A boost for Stefano Pioli, but there are still quite a few players on the injury list.

Milan got knocked out of the Coppa Italia mid-week and will thus be looking to redeem themselves with a strong performance against Roma tomorrow. In his press conference, Pioli admitted that it will be a tough game for the Rossoneri, but he also assured that they will do everything they can.

As reported by MilanNews, Okafor has recovered from his thigh injury and will be back in the squad tomorrow evening. He could perhaps make an appearance off the bench, therefore, while Marco Sportiello and Alessandro Florenzi failed to recover.

The goalkeeper has technically recovered from his injury, but he needs more time on the training ground to regain fitness. Florenzi, meanwhile, is still experiencing fatigue and could be back next week. Finally, Marco Pellegrino has also recovered but he will play for the Primavera against Torino tomorrow.

There is no news on Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori. The feeling is that the latter two could be back within a month, give or take, but the Frenchman’s injury is a lot more complicated.
