MN: One year exactly since Kalulu joined – he remains a symbol of Milan’s project

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan consider young defender Pierre Kalulu to be an important asset heading into the new season and letting him leave is not an option at present.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Milan are impressed by the development of Kalulu. Exactly one year ago, the Frenchman arrived at the Rossoneri and in his first year at the club he showed both his qualities but also the aspects of his game to improve over time.

He made 18 appearances playing as both a right-back and a centre-back, showing some gaps that can be easily filled with a good dose of experience, and this season his defensive flexibility will be a precious resource for Pioli who has him as a reserve for two positions.

Kalulu’s performances are the best answer to those who doubted the value of the Rossoneri scouts, as he was a discovery of Geoffrey Moncada and his assistants, and therefore the perfect testimony of what Milan is looking for in the young players in which they invest.
