MN: Pioli calls up Primavera goalkeeper as Mirante is absent – the reason

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will have a goalkeeping crisis of sorts for tonight’s game against Dinamo Zagreb as Antonio Mirante is a late absentee, a report claims.

Pioli will be without a number of players with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Florenzi, Davide Calabria, Alexis Saelemaekers and Mike Maignan all out until 2023, while Sergino Dest has muscle fatigue and did not travel, and Fikayo Tomori is suspended.

According to a report from MilanNews, there will be a further goalkeeper problem for Pioli as he will be without Antonio Mirante who will miss the game due to displaying flu-like symptoms.

The means that the two back-up goalkeepers are Nava and Jungdal from the Primavera, both of whom are yet to make a senior appearance for the club so far.

Obviously Ciprian Tatarusanu will start in goal, but if he suffers an injury or gets sent off then it could be a very long and difficult night for the Diavolo.
