MN: Pioli gives Milan squad two days off before Juventus preparations begin

By Oliver Fisher -

Milanello will be quieter than usual today and tomorrow as Stefano Pioli has granted some rest to the few players he has at his disposal.

The sheer amount of players away on international duty means that Pioli has far from a full squad to work with anyway, but they were present at the training complex yesterday for some drills and a practice game against the Primavera.

According to MilanNews, Pioli has granted two days of rest to the squad – today and tomorrow – to those who have remained at Milanello during the break.

The restart is scheduled for Tuesday, when the team will begin to more seriously prepare for Sunday evening’s match at San Siro against Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus.

That game is one of three tough tests in a row for the Rossoneri, with away matches against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and Napoli in Serie A to follow that.
