Brahim Diaz is pushing for a starting spot in Saturday’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter, according to a report.
According to MilanNews, Brahim Diaz chose Milan specifically during the summer after a difficult time at Real Madrid so far, believing he could carve out a space for himself and get more playing time.
Head coach Stefano Pioli could give him a chance against Inter and it is his versatility in this sense that plays in his favour, as he can play both as an attacking midfielder and as a winger.
Of course Hakan Calhanoglu will start as the playmaker, while on the right Saelemaekers has a good chance of getting the nod over Castillejo, but on the left it is Brahim against Rafael Leao for a starting spot.
The Portuguese starlet did not shine in that position in the last match before the break against Spezia, but scored a brace when moved to centre-forward. It cannot be ruled out, therefore, that Pioli may bet on Brahim to give more unpredictability.
