AC Milan are attentive to sales at the moment and in particular finding a new home for Lucas Paqueta, according to a report.
The Brazilian attacking midfielder arrived last January from Flamengo for a fee widely reported to be €35million but has not hit the heights expected, scoring just one goal in over 40 appearances since joining.
According to Anto Vitiello’s latest for MilanNews, Milan are looking to sell Paqueta before the window closes as he is the only one who can ensure a certain windfall in case of departure.
At least €22-23million would be needed in order not to record a loss on the balance sheet, and Lyon are in contact with his agent while in Spain a couple of clubs have come forward.
Paqueta has understood that he cannot stay with the Rossoneri any longer, which can also be seen during training and in the friendly matches with the exception of Novara.
He is not the starter and he might not even be a back-up in any position after Brahim Diaz’s arrival, so he is not involved in the project. A goodbye would be the best solution for everyone.
