There is no cause for concern regarding the fitness of centre-back Simon Kjaer ahead of the upcoming fixtures, a report claims.
Milan’s defensive department is already stretched at the moment with captain Alessio Romagnoli out injured as well as Mateo Musacchio and Andrea Conti.
It was a big worry therefore when Kjaer came off inside the final 20 minutes of Milan’s 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday night, with Leo Duarte struggling after coming on to replace him.
However, according to MilanNews, the player went off during the game as a precaution, but on Thursday against Bodo/Glimt in the third qualifying round of the Europa League he will be available to head coach Stefano Pioli.
It is a big boost for Milan, who would have been worried about having to go into a one-off knockout game against a team bang in form with inexperienced duo Gabbia and Duarte as the CB pairing.
