MN: Positivity filters regarding Donnarumma’s future – the parties are closing in on a renewal

By Oliver Fisher -

Positive signals are arriving regarding the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma with talks underway over a new deal, a report claims.

The reliable MilanNews reports that contacts between Milan and Mino Raiola have resumed, both for possible market objectives such as PSV’s Denzel Dumfries but also for the future of some of his clients currently at Milan.

The outlet adds that from what is filtered from those close to the parties, positive signs are coming on the possibility that an extension of Gigio’s current deal can be agreed, most likely until 2023.

It is possible that the parties may also agree on the salary, which will be a fixed some plus bonuses – a solution that for budgetary reasons suits Milan a lot more.

Donnarumma for his part has never forced his hand to leave Milan as he is happy at the club and wishes to remain. What is certain is that the Rossoneri, if the renewal were to take place, will have to return to the Champions League sooner rather than later.
