AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is set to revert back to the strongest line-up he can field for tomorrow’s game against Lecce, a report claims.
MilanNews reports that after the rotation carried out in the Coppa Italia against Torino and the defeat that followed, Milan absolutely cannot make any mistakes against Lecce at the Stadio Via del Mare and that is why Pioli will go back to the 4-2-3-1 and the names he trusts.
In defence Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez should be in front of Tatarusanu. In midfield, one of Aster Vranckx (favourite) and Tommaso Pobega will join Ismael Bennacer, given Sandro Tonali is suspended.
In attack Olivier Giroud should be supported by Rafael Leao on the left, Alexis Saelemaekers (ahead of Junior Messias) on the right and Brahim Diaz in the centre, who is in a battle with Charles De Ketelaere.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo; Vranckx, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.
I’d rather start Thiaw instead of Kalulu and CDK instead of Brahim. Thiaw (or Gabbia) gives the height to defend set pieces. And CDK needs some consistent game time.
I support you for CDK but I prefer Kalulu. He´s a good header, it´s Tomori – a great defender btw – who has problems in the air
Despite has been disappointing thus far, I believe CDK is knocking on the door for the breakthrough and IMHO, should be given the nod over Brahim Diaz.

I agree entirely. Boy tore teams up when attacking at the w.c He was the U.S. main threat down the wing. Ironically, Salemaekers offers more defensively than dest so I get why he starts. Of the R.W doesn’t help Calabria out and considering how much attack goes thru our L.W with theo and Leao, we’ll ne constantly exposed on the R.W on Counters. Think Argentina’s first goal in the Final. Good interplay on the left and quick switch and Calabria will be in trouble constantly. But Salemaekers can help in transition better than dest. Pioli should sub him in at the 55th Minute for Salemaekers if were tied, one down or protecting a slim lead..
