MN: Probable Milan XI to face Inter – a big chance for Tonali; one doubt for Pioli

By Oliver Fisher -

The biggest game of the season so far is just two days away as Milan’s preparations in view of the crucial derby against Inter continue.

As MilanNews writes, Milan arrive at the derby in a phase of the season that is not brilliant but the team will undergo several changes after last night’s 2-2 draw against Red Star in the Europa League Round of 32 first leg.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will remain in goal, and the source states that Davide Calabria and Simon Kjaer will come back into the back four, alongside Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez who both started in Belgrade.

Ismael Bennacer is injured again so Sandro Tonali will partner Franck Kessie in the midfield, while the trio behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic – who like the Ivorian was rested in Serbia – should be Alexis Saelemaekers, Hakan Calhanoglu and Ante Rebic from right to left. Rafael Leao is battling for the left wing spot, however.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessié; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
