MN: Probable Milan XI to face Napoli – Rebic set to start; clean bill of health for the first time

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to welcome a couple of players back into their squad for Sunday’s trip to Napoli, and Ante Rebic could make his way back into the starting XI.

According to MilanNews, the entire team group is finally available at Milanello for the first time this season, aside from those who will return from international duty over the next few days. That means there are no injuries or COVID-positive cases to deal with, apart from the head coach Stefano Pioli.

Centre-back Mateo Musacchio is now back in the fold and the quick recovery of Alexis Saelemaekers means that the group is basically at full health.

Ante Rebic has worked continuously during this break and is ready to return to the starting XI. Rafael Leao has shown that he can offer something different to Rebic in a positive sense, but given that he is away with Portugal’s U21s the freshness of the Croatian will be preferred.

The probable XI for the game is as follows…

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
