MN: Rangnick will dictate and will not compromise – the plans in place for Milan’s future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will have to fully buy in to Ralf Rangnick’s way of operating if he signs the contract to join the Rossoneri, a report claims.

Rangnick’s name continues to be strongly linked to Milan in the media, and MilanNews reports how he will arrive his team of collaborators – should he of course sign – and will also be given a position of total power and freedom.

In a team effort, Gazidis’ right-hand man Hendrik Almstadt and chief scout Geoffrey Moncada will join Rangnick and co. for a very international work pool with broad views, especially on youth scouting, as the ownership wants. Maldini and Massara are very unlikely to be part of this team, since Rangnick will also have total control of the market.

The report notes how choosing Rangnick means marrying his system of work. The club must reflect on the past but perhaps more importantly accept the present struggles.

Milan are in an economic stalemate of sorts, having lost the appeal they had even 10 years ago to sponsors and even fans but especially players.

After the November and December meetings with Gordon Singer in London, Rangnick will want to have an important impact on the transfer market and wishes to know the budget that will be made available by the company.

The former Schalke boss will indicate the profiles of the players to be dealt with and Almstadt and Moncada will have to contact to continue the negotiations. What is certain is that Rangnick will not accept that names are imposed on him, but will listen to any suggestions.

Talents considered will be both Italian and foreign and in addition to the money available, the market team will also be able to increase its spending power thanks to the sales, a large percentage of which will go straight back into the pot.
