Ralf Rangnick is keeping ‘dust under the carpet’ with his interviews in the media regarding taking a role at AC Milan, it is claimed.
According to MilanNews journalist Pietro Mazzara, Rangnick has tried to dampen speculation once again with his interview in the German press on Sunday, but the fact is that he had a general agreement already reached with Gordon Singer.
In the end, certain key things were established with Elliott’s top management in several video conferences – in which CEO Ivan Gazidis was also present – but then COVID-19 broke out and something inevitably slowed down.
Yesterday’s interview with the MD-Zeitung confirmed this version of the facts, but the chances of Stefano Pioli staying have increased slightly – he is not out of the game and Paolo Maldini isn’t either.
Maldini though certainly wouldn’t stay under Rangnick as a puppet but Rangnick is and remains the very first choice of property, the report concludes.
