MN: Rebic sees suspension reduced as Milan win appeal – he could play vs. Sampdoria

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have won their appeal regarding the suspension of Ante Rebic whose ban has been reduced meaning he is available again.

According to MilanNews, the Rossoneri were successful in their appeal as the forward has seen his ban changed to one game – which he served against Fiorentina – with a fine of 15,000 euros. Consequently, the Croatian will be able to be used in Saturday’s match against Sampdoria.

It is a decision that must be welcomed not only from a sporting point of view, but which does justice to the player after the allegations about what he said to the referee. The Milan lawyers were confident about the appeal, and it was justified.

Now, all focus shifts to Milanello and whether he will be fit enough to play and possibly start against Samp, with Rebic having worked alone both yesterday and today, but the player may be able to make it back in time as the inflammation in his hip seems to have now disappeared.
